Practitioner Mentoring.
A place to think clearly about your practice, your work and what comes next.
Running a practice asks a lot of us.
We are practitioners, but we are also business owners, decision-makers, marketers, administrators and, often, the person holding the whole thing together.
Sometimes you need practical advice. Sometimes you need another experienced practitioner to help you think something through. Sometimes you need the space to work out what you actually want before deciding what to do next.
I offer one-to-one mentoring for practitioners who want that kind of support.
This isn't a formula, a business coaching system or a programme you need to complete.
It's a conversation between practitioners, drawing on more than 15 years of clinical practice alongside my previous experience working in agencies, managing businesses, brands and campaigns.
PRACTICE & BUSINESS MENTORING
You might come because you're trying to grow your practice, change direction, develop a new offer, make sense of your marketing, put better boundaries in place or work out why something simply isn't working.
We can look at the practicalities — pricing, positioning, websites, communication, offers, systems and strategy — but also at the bigger picture of the practice you're trying to create.
The aim isn't necessarily to make your business bigger.
It's to make it work better for you.
CLINICAL MENTORING FOR ACUPUNCTURISTS
For acupuncturists, our sessions can also include clinical discussion.
Complex cases. Treatment planning. Five Element diagnosis. The relationship between practitioner and patient. Difficult dynamics. Boundaries. Confidence. The questions that don't always fit neatly into a CPD course.
This isn't about being given the "right" answer.
It's about having an experienced colleague alongside you while you develop your own clinical thinking and judgement.
The Creative Cycle.
The Five Element Creative Cycle sits underneath the way I understand life, practice and business.
Rather than assuming everything should be growing all of the time, it gives us a way of recognising different phases of work: when something needs imagining, building, bringing fully into the world, consolidating, editing or ending.
I may use this framework in our work together where it is useful.
Not because your business needs to be squeezed into five neat boxes, but because sometimes understanding where you are in the cycle makes the next decision much clearer.
How it works.
You can book a single session when you have something particular you want to work through, or we can work together over a longer period if you want ongoing support.
Sessions are one hour, online.
There is no requirement to sign up for a package.
I charge what you charge.
For a one-hour mentoring session, you pay me the same amount that you currently charge a client for an hour of your own work.
If your hourly treatment fee is £65, your mentoring session is £65.
If you charge £95, you pay £95.
It seemed to me the simplest and fairest way to do it.
We're both giving an hour of our professional time.
Your hour = my hour
So if there's something happening in your practice that you want another pair of eyes on — clinical, practical, creative or somewhere between all three — you can book a session with me.
